To sum up, in this first meeting, as explained by Mas Rio, agreed and also understood by the participants, journalism was news that we met in our daily life either offline news (like newspaper, magazine, and etc) or online news. People always met journalism in everyday life because journalism was building people awareness in knowing current news, local or international.
Moreover, there are hard news and features news in Journalism. In this discussion, participants understood that hard news was the real, the non-fiction news, and the very current one. Hard news was bringing what the hot issue nowadays. However, features news was something that people can consume any day, any time and not always the current one.
The difference of the language also presented that hard news was more academic, and features news was more day to day language.
